Analyst - Market Intelligence

About the Role

Support our research function by producing high-quality market intelligence, sector analysis, and investment research focused on African markets. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about African economies and capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Produce regular market reports and sector analyses on African economies
• Monitor and analyze macroeconomic trends, policy developments, and market movements
• Conduct industry research and competitive analysis for transaction support
• Maintain databases of market data, deal flow, and company information
• Support pitch preparation with market sizing and industry research
• Contribute to thought leadership content and client publications
• Track regulatory developments across key African jurisdictions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, International Relations, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in research, consulting, or financial services
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent research and writing capabilities
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Bloomberg preferred)
• Knowledge of African economies and capital markets
• Strong English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Master's degree in relevant field
• Experience with financial databases (Bloomberg, Refinitiv)
• Background in equity research or credit analysis
• Arabic or French language skills
